Whether
you are looking to go out dancing, to hear some live music, or to just
grab a few beers or a late night bite to eat the night life scene in
Rome has plenty to offer. Here is list of some of the most popular neighborhoods
to check out for discos, bars and pubs, live music venues, and just
cool places to hang out.
Via Veneto
The richest street in Rome, this area was at it's peak in the 1950s
with movie stars and the self-proclaimed jet set. Though it has lost
it famous clientele, today it is still a great place to go to sip a
drink and enjoy the tree-lined streetscape.

San Lorenzo
The main university area in Rome, San Lorenzo is full of youthful
pubs and clubs as well as pizzarias and other food choices to
fit a student budget. The area really comes alive on Friday and
Saturday nights, crawling with students out to have a good time.

Trastevere
Trastevere is one of the most picturesque areas in Rome and the
most popular for eating and hanging out. The heart of the area is
Piazza di Santa Maria in Trastevere, a truly Roman piazza. Full
of life at night, musicians will serenade you while you dine, and
artisans selling their craftwork and street performers can be found
around every corner.

Campo de' Fiori
An open air fruit and vegetable market during the day, Campo de'
Fiori transforms into one of Rome's most popular night spots, particularly
for the young international crowd who fills the piazza and it surrounding
pubs to drink and socialize. Among the most popular locales are
several American bars and disco pubs featuring small dance floors
for those inclined to dance. The area is also worth exploring for
the many restaurants that fill the narrow winding ways extending
from the square.

Testaccio
Testaccio is the area to go to if you are feeling the itch to dance.
A collection of discos and disco bars are gathered there, and you
are sure to find something to suit your tastes. If you want to experience
the local culture this is the area to go as it is where you'll find
the Italians out to have a good time.
